A Geopolitical View of the reagion
Arriving at the border at the point where the border with Syria Jordan and israel connects. This area is called the border triangle.
We then break at a stunning lookout for observation at the two neighboring countries.
In the observation of Syria, we will see the last region that was taken by ISIS.
An area with a breathtaking view of the “Yarmouk” and “Rokad” streams. Both streams also serve as geopolitical borders between the 3 states.
We will learn about the sensitive political situation in the region.
We will then travel through the dramatic landscapes of the South Golan cliffs breaking again at a Syrian bunker that was active until 1967. The bunker was occupied by israel during the Six Day War. From the bunker we can see a panoramic view of the entire Kinneret Jurdan Valley Lower & Upper Galilee Golan Heights and Lebanon.
Looking at the view from the bunker, we will understand the consequences of the Syrian presence here.
We will learn about life in the Jewish settlement in the shadow of the Syrian Golan.
Looking at the international border that passed beneath us before 1967 we can better understand what was the debate in the last peace talks
In our area of excursion the Sea of Galilee and the Jordan Valley are the important sites of the Christian world
Breathtaking views wildlife and nature
Trips for two hours or more.
There are multiple options with trip routes that include challenging field adventures, with breathtaking ascents and descents, amazing panoramic vistas, paths crossing flowing streams of water and drives through webs of hydra-vegetation. On warm days, we can stop to splash in the clear cool spring water. We can go to historical sites such as ancient synagogues from the period of the Mishna and the initial ancient settlers.
Tours of 3 and 4 hours include short hikes through waterbeds and guided tours of historical sites. Tours at sundown gain the added value of the phenomenal colors in the sky and the view of the water fowl asleep for the night. The recommended routes are in the area of the western slopes of the southern Golan Heights and the northern end of the Sea of Galilee. There are additional routes in the northern Golan Heights, the Jordan Valley and around the Sea of Galilee, the Upper Galilee and the Hula Valley.
